Can Friends and Family Come? Yes! The event is open to the entire Hawthorne community.
Do I need a Wristband, Tickets or Both? It depends on what activities you're interested in.
Wristbands are free to all students and families and give you access to the following activities: Inflatable obstacle course/Jump combo house; Sensory games; Connect 4; Bag toss.
Tickets ($1 each) can be purchased for: Henna or Face Painting, HSA Sweets Spot, Teacher vs Students Kickball Game, Balloon Twisting (2 tickets); Bracelet Making, Sand Art (3 Tickets); Food & Snack Stand (1 to 4 Tickets); T-shirt Tie-Dye (10 Tickets)
How Do I Buy Tickets? We'll have tickets for sale that day, available for purchase with cash or credit card.
Will There Be Food/Drinks? Yes! All proceeds from the Food Booth support the Kindergarten Aide Fund. Please note the Food Booth only accepts tickets (no money exchange):
Hot dog or slice of pizza: 4 tickets
Chips, candy, drinks: 1 ticket
Ice cream/snow cone: 2 tickets
What's the Kindergarten Aide Fund? To keep the adult-to-student ratio low for our youngest learners, Hawthorne is committed to funding a robust K staffing model that includes two K teachers, two aides and a K support staffer. We rely on our Kindergarten community to raise $25K to help offset costs to keep these vital positions.
